About The Cohort
The health-tech start-up space in India is witnessing exponential growth, especially for the past two years now due to the Covid-19. The pandemic has accelerated innovation in the health-tech sector which has attracted $1.9 billion in funding from venture capitalists in 2021, thereby taking total investments by VCs to $4.4 billion since 2016. The two sectors which have got tailwinds during the pandemic are all set to grow at an annual rate of over 35% over the next few years to touch US$50 billion by 2033.
Capital Connexion, a joint initiative of Zone Startups India and FundEnable will identify 20 early-stage Health Tech and Bio-Tech Startups and assist them in tackling specific challenges through qualified mentoring assistance, and fast track their growth by providing access to capital. 20 startups will get an opportunity to pitch their ventures to the top 15 health tech and biotech VCs.

We will evaluate all startups based on team, value proposition, market size, proof of concept, traction, and entry barriers. Our evaluation team will request e-meetings to know more about your startup as a part of the selection process. Our final cohort will comprise only 20 startups.

- Kindly submit your application online by 11:59 PM on March 5, 2022.
- We do encourage you to apply, however, we are keen on early traction/revenue generating startups for this cohort. This program targets to assist early-stage startups looking to raise their seed to series A round.
- All selected startups will get the opportunity to pitch 1-on-1 to a minimum of 10 venture capital funds. Every pitching session will be restricted to 15 minutes – 10 minutes of pitch followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. We will provide you with a template for the pitch, share feedback, and facilitate further conversation basis the feedback.
- There are no registration charges. However, we will charge a success fee of 3.5% of the investment amount raised through Capital Connexion.
- Absolutely! We will assist you in finding valuation, structuring the deal, along with the legal and compliance aspects of the transaction.
- This program targets to assist early-stage startups looking to raise their seed to series A round.
